We had 4 boats and 5 people on the SF Holston run.  Theresa and I were in the Tandum Equif, Rich Ruhlan was in his open canoe and Jim Lenburg and Vance Parker were in kayaks.  The SFH is a class II/II+ run at the low to medium flows we had. It’s a beautiful river with 50+ ft’ tall rock walls lining the river.  The Redbud trees were blooming so it was a beautiful section.  The weather was a bit cool and we got sprinkles on but typical spring weather.  It’s a short run so next time I hope to have a bit more flow and hopefully we can link up Laurel creek into the SFH. It was only a 4 mile run so afterward we had lunch at the Alvarado park along the Virginia Creeper trail.  At the take out we met a couple guys that were involved with the Virginia Creeper trail association and we were able to give them some ideas on improving the take out at Alvarado, which could us some love.  Looking forward to going back at higher flows for more miles.
