With age (64.98) came enough wisdom to postpone the trip from Saturday to Sunday: from cold and craptacular to warm and sunny.  We had eleven boats (from four states) running Chattoga 3 1/2 (Thrift's Ferry to Woodall Shoals) at 1.95 on the gauge.  The water was crystal clear and sparkly, and the group played its way down the river with no carnage and lots of fun.

We stopped for lunch at the Bull, built a small fire to warm cold extremities, and watched some excellent runs of The Big Bad Boy.  There were some other large groups on that section Sunday.  I counted over 25 boats while we were at the Bull.

Olivia Summerfield showed off her snap roll and had a great day (Olympics 2020?)

The only bad thing that happened was that Humble Pie was closed for repairs, and we could not consummate our pizza lust.

All in all a wonderful day on a beautiful river.
