Great weekend with a repeat edition of the Southern Invasion of Ohiopyle. Lots of rain meant higher water levels and a Stonycreek River release in August, which is a rare treat!

Paddlers: Lynn Miller (co-coordinator), Jennifer Stockwell (co-coordinator), Jasmine Elmore (co-coordinator), Rick Steeves, & Wayne Jones

8/22/26: Stonycreek River, 1090 cfs, PFDs for Wayne and Rick. Sunshine, blue bird day! Extra fluffy waves.

8/23/26: Lower Yough, 3.14′ (PI Day :D). Surf waves after Swimmers were top notch. Many boofs at Bottle of Wine before one raft who decided to follow beached themselves on the boof rock. The last paddler was aiming at the boof, pushed off the stuck raft, and then had an exciting backwards, upside down line before rolling right up and continuing along. The raft thanked us at the end for pushing them off. Sweet squiggly wiggly lines at Double Hydraulic. Smiles all around.

Another trip will be planned for next year.
