Conservation Committee

Hello everyone

I am serving as chair of Conservation for the club. I would love to establish a committee of people who are interested in conservation and willing to help out.  I am still learning all that the Conservation chair covers but some activities include:
– river cleanups (Haw, Mayo, Tuck/Fontana Lake)
– monitor opportunities for public input on items of interest to paddlers – this includes dam maintenance, dam release schedules, establishing new river trails or maintaining existing trails among other things
– issues related to river access, parking, shuttles
Please let me know if you are interested and I will set up an email group of interested people to begin.  Thanks and SYOR.
