In this roll clinic, students will focus on building a stronger, more consistent, and more reliable roll through targeted on‑water practice. After a brief warmup and review of equipment, outfitting, and body mechanics, instructors will identify areas for improvement for each participant. We’ll refine those techniques in calm water before applying them in moving current to build confidence and control. By the end of the session, each paddler will leave with a more efficient and dependable roll.
The Nantahala is a cold release river. Dry tops and ear plugs are reccomended.
Please contact Jacki Zevenbergen WORClinics@carolinacanoeclub.org if you have questions.
Space in this clinic is limited. Please do not register unless you have checked your calendar and committed to attending. This is important so our clinic instructors will continue to generously agree to do clinics during WOR. If you are unsure if you will be available, please wait until the class fills and sign up on the waitlist.

All participants in any Carolina Canoe Club (CCC) trip do so as common adventurers. The CCC or its individual members may coordinate paddling trips but no one is considered leader of a trip. As common adventurers, all participants take the responsibility for making their own decisions including, but not limited to, whether it is safe for them to participate on any particular water body, what equipment they need and use, the routes they may choose to paddle, whether their skill levels and abilities are adequate for the activity or whether climate and water conditions are appropriate for their participation. Participants are exclusively responsible for their own safety.
Individual coordinators for all CCC activities set requirements per their sole discretion. The CCC does not necessarily endorse or approve requirements set by coordinators.
