$500 Matching Donation Offer for Greenstreet Fund (EXPIRES 12/31/25)

(I.) CATCHING YOU UP: As you may have read in recent club news, a new education fund has been endowed with $2,000 in memory of legendary club member Howard Dubois, A.K.A. “Commander Greenstreet.” The mission of the fund is to provide “a means to financially support the [CCC] in its mission to train new paddlers in whitewater sports in North Carolina … administered as a granting adjunct to the training program of the Club to provide limited financial support to those individuals who wish to learn paddle-sports … or advance their skills in paddling or safety on the river. The Fund may also be used to defray some of the costs for instructors to maintain American Canoe Association certifications.” In short this incredible legacy gift will empower the CCC to even further lower the financial barriers to entry club members face in developing new skills or seeking ACA certifications.

(II.) A NEW GREAT (TIME-SENSITIVE) MATCHING OFFER: Joe Greiner, a long-time club member, has generously donated $500 to the Greenstreet Fund. Joe has amazingly offered to match up to an additional $500 raised by club members through the end of this year. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING IN DECEMBER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS GREAT MATCHING-OFFER. Donations can also be made via Paypal. Note the CCC is a 501(c)7 not a 501(c)3 so donations are not tax-deductible.
