Pool Sessions for the Winter of 2022— https://greatoutdoorprovision.com/event/kayak-pool-session/

Where: Fulton YMCA, 385 West Hanes Mill Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27105: Come around the left side of the building

When: 12pm to 3pm on the below mentioned Saturdays. Can come at 11:30am to start cleaning boats

Activity: Bring your own (clean) Boat for time to practice skills in warm water with friends. GOPC staff and/or volunteer instructors will offer assistance on skills such as rolling but this is not a structured class- it’s better. We have the whole pool so there is room to spread out. The hot tub, however, is unavailable.

FAQs:

-No pre-registration, just show up.  Sign in and pay at the door.  You can pay for all 4 sessions if you would like to, (or however many you think you’ll make), or you can simply pay each time at the door.
-Please wear a mask when not in the pool.
-We will have the hose available to clean boats.
-We won’t have any demo boats this year due to the national shortage, but we will have a few paddles.
-Though the hot tub will be closed, the locker rooms are open.

Cost: STILL $10. All proceeds go to sustaining program.

All participants in any Carolina Canoe Club (CCC) trip do so as common adventurers. The CCC or its individual members may coordinate paddling trips but no one is considered leader of a trip. As common adventurers, all participants take the responsibility for making their own decisions including, but not limited to, whether it is safe for them to participate on any particular water body, what equipment they need and use, the routes they may choose to paddle, whether their skill levels and abilities are adequate for the activity or whether climate and water conditions are appropriate for their participation. Participants are exclusively responsible for their own safety.

Individual coordinators for all CCC activities set requirements per their sole discretion. The CCC does not necessarily endorse or approve requirements set by coordinators.
