Optimist Pool roll session info

Info regarding Optomist Pool Sessions:

I wanted to reach out to both of you to make sure you had up-to-date information about Raleigh’s kayak pool sessions at Optimist Pool and the private roll instruction that’s available. A couple of details: first, while pre-registration is not required for each session, we do require that participants register for a free pool session membership. This requires an account with the city’s RecLink system (reclink.raleighnc.gov). Participants can sign up for a membership by clicking on “membership” on the RecLink home page and using the keyword “kayak”. You can also use the link on the city’s Outdoor Recreation page (here). I wanted to point out that at least one of your sites had some incorrect information regarding pricing: it is $8 to attend the session and $4 to rent equipment. Finally, Doug Stager is teaching hour-long private roll instruction sessions at 5pm and 6pm. While patrons may try to register for these on-site the night of a pool session, space is limited so it may be best to advise those who want roll instruction to sign up in advance by clicking on the “programs” link on the RecLink home page and using the keyword “roll”. Pool sessions will be open every Friday in January, February, and March; Doug won’t be available for private roll instruction on 1/13 and 1/20.

Thanks for spreading the word about our programs! Please let me know if you need any additional information!

Best,
