Giving Back to Mother Haw—2024 Clean-Up-A-Thon
The Haw is a wonderful resource, and she needs regular care and tending. Fortunately, our good partners at Haw River Assembly organize their yearly Clean-Up-A-Thon, which takes place this year on Saturday, March 16th. CCC is an important participant, because we have the boats and skills to haul out hard-to-reach trash.
If you are interested in participating this year, please send me an email at gmoon333@icloud.com. All are welcome, and if anybody has a big ol’ canoe, that will come in especially handy for transporting trash.
Plan to meet at Robeson Creek at 10 AM on Saturday.
