DESCRIPTION:This clinic is designed for paddlers who have some experience i
 n moving water and want to build confidence and consistency on Class I–I
 I rivers before stepping up to more difficult runs. The focus of this cour
 se is on reinforcing fundamental skills and helping them transfer from Cla
 ss I into Class II conditions.\n\nLocation: Tuckaseegee Gorge\n\nClass Siz

 urrent\n 	Know basic forward and turning strokes\n 	Are beginning to catch
  eddies and change direction in current\n 	Want to feel more in control be
 fore moving up to Class III\n\nWhat You’ll Work On\n\nNovice clinics foc
 us on strengthening core whitewater skills and building comfort in moving 
 water.\n\nInstruction commonly includes:\n\n 	Refining fundamental paddle 
 strokes\n 	Boat control and balance in current\n 	Entering and exiting edd
 ies in Class I–II conditions\n 	Understanding how current moves the boat
 \n 	Building stability in small wave trains\n\nThe emphasis is on practice
 \, repetition\, and feedback\, allowing skills to become more consistent.\
 n\nWhat to Expect\n\nClinic formats vary based on the river and the group.
  Some clinics begin on flatwater or slow-moving water to reinforce fundame
 ntals before transitioning to the river.\n\nMost on-river time is spent on
  Class I–II sections\, with occasional exposure to easier Class II+ feat
 ures as appropriate.\n\nTypical Rivers\n\nNovice clinics are often held on
  rivers such as:\n\n 	Lower Green River\n 	Middle Haw River\n 	Tuckaseegee
  Gorge\n 	Other similar Class I–II runs\n\nParticipants Leave Better Pre
