 in South Carolina \nThis is a joint Carolina Kayak Club/Carolina Canoe Cl
 ub trip. Participation is set at five members per club\, a total of ten fo
 r the trip.\nMeet: 10am  (an early start with a three hour drive from RTP
  but early is better for the Lilies)\nEnd: Approximately 3pm.   \n\nLand
 sford Canal State Park (SC)\n2051 Park Dr.\nCatawba\, SC 29704\n803 789-58
 00\n \n-The Landsford Canal Park is open sunrise to sun set.\n\nADMISSION
 : $6 for adults\, $3.75 for SC Seniors (65 &amp\; older)\, and $3.50 for 
 children (ages 6-15). Admission is waived with an ALL Park Passport.\n\n
 Put-in: Landsford Canal Upper access Coordinates: 34.79176\, -80.88081 
   On Park Drive (690)\, off Landsford Road (327) \, near hiking trail he
 ad.  River Right\n\nTakeout: SC 9 Access   34.7104u2\, -80.86222  
  on Nectar Road\, ofd SC 8 (Chester Highway)   River Left\n\nDistance 
 is 6.3 Miles   Minimum level is 1000 cfs\nThis is Catawba River Section 3
  of Ferguson’s Canoe Kayak South Carolina\nThis is a Class I/II trip\, a
 ppropriate for Novice or more skilled paddlers. Note\; At water levels abo
 ut 4000 cis\, the difficulty of the few rapids increases and novices could
  be challenged.\n\nWhitewater boats are ideal. Other plastic boats could b
 e used\, probably no longer than 12 ft. Any sit-inside boats should have s
 pray skirt. PFD is mandatory. Helmets are desirable and mandatory for whit
 ewater boats.\n\nThe main feature of this trip is the blooming Rocky Shoal
  Spider Lilies. They are at their peak now. This is a rare species\, only 
 found in Alabama\, Georgia and South Carolina. Landsford has the largest c
 olony.\n\nThe plants are large and voluptuous and seem out of place growin
 g out of rocks. Those paddlers familiar with the river below Catawba Falls
  may have seen one of the small colonies there.\n\n*“Please complete the
