 sford Canal Park (home of the Rocky Shoals Spider Lilies)   Catawba River
  in South Carolina \nThis is a joint Carolina Kayak Club/Carolina Canoe C
 lub trip. Participation is set at five members per club\, a total of ten f
 or the trip.\nMeet: 10am  (an early start with a three hour drive from RT
 P but early is better for the Lilies)\nEnd: Approximately 3pm.   \n\nLan

 N: $6 for adults\, $3.75 for SC Seniors (65 &amp\; older)\, and $3.50 for

 e is 6.3 Miles   Minimum level is 1000 cfs\nThis is Catawba River Section
  3 of Ferguson’s Canoe Kayak South Carolina\nThis is a Class I/II trip\,
  appropriate for Novice or more skilled paddlers. Note\; At water levels a
 bout 4000 cis\, the difficulty of the few rapids increases and novices cou
 ld be challenged.\n\nWhitewater boats are ideal. Other plastic boats could
  be used\, probably no longer than 12 ft. Any sit-inside boats should have
  spray skirt. PFD is mandatory. Helmets are desirable and mandatory for wh
 itewater boats.\n\nThe main feature of this trip is the blooming Rocky Sho
 al Spider Lilies. They are at their peak now. This is a rare species\, onl
 y found in Alabama\, Georgia and South Carolina. Landsford has the largest
  colony.\n\nThe plants are large and voluptuous and seem out of place grow
 ing out of rocks. Those paddlers familiar with the river below Catawba Fal
 ls may have seen one of the small colonies there.\n\n*“Please complete t
