 s course is designed as a short program emphasizing safety\, enjoyment\, a
 nd skill development. The skills and knowledge gained can set the stage fo
 r a lifetime of exploration\, adventures\, a healthy lifestyle\, appreciat
 ion of water and the natural world\, lasting memories with family and frie
 nds\, and a rewarding experience for all.\n\nThis L3 RSR course is designe
 d to teach recognition and avoidance of common river hazards\, execution o
 f self-rescue techniques\, and simple rescues for paddlers in distress. Em
 phasis is placed both on personal safety and simple\, commonly used skills
 . This course is aimed at whitewater boaters interested in learning fundam
 ental river rescue skills\, such as wading\, throw ropes\, swimming\, rigg
 ing and craft-based rescue.\n\nNote: This is being held in conjunction wit
 h the L4 Swiftwater Rescue class. Day one covers the L3 River Safety Rescu
 e skills. Day two covers the L4 Swiftwater Rescue skills.\n\nThis course i
 s conducted utilizing with ACA Paddlesports certified instructors and ACA 
 Paddlesports curriculum
