 designed as a short program emphasizing safety\, enjoyment\, and skill dev
 elopment. The skills and knowledge gained can set the stage for a lifetime
  of exploration\, adventures\, a healthy lifestyle\, appreciation of water
  and the natural world\, lasting memories with family and friends\, and a 
 rewarding experience for all.\n\nThis L3 RSR course is designed to teach r
 ecognition and avoidance of common river hazards\, execution of self-rescu
 e techniques\, and simple rescues for paddlers in distress. Emphasis is pl
 aced both on personal safety and simple\, commonly used skills. This cours
 e is aimed at whitewater boaters interested in learning fundamental river 
 rescue skills\, such as wading\, throw ropes\, swimming\, rigging and craf
 t-based rescue.\n\nNote: This is being held in conjunction with the L4 Swi
 ftwater Rescue class. Day one covers the L3 River Safety Rescue skills. Da
 y two covers the L4 Swiftwater Rescue skills.\n\nThis course is conducted 
 utilizing with ACA Paddlesports certified instructors and ACA Paddlesports
  curriculum
