 ue to Forest Service rules regarding the Nantahala.\n\nIntermediate clinic
 s are targeted at those who have experience and are comfortable on whitewa
 ter\, know eddy turns and peel outs and are proficient on class 2-3 rivers
 . Kayakers and C1 paddlers at this level have a reliable whitewater roll a
 nd can help rescue others on class 2-3 rivers. The format of intermediate 
 clinics varies a bit. On the first day\, some classes may spend time on fl
 atwater reinforcing skills\, while other classes may head straight to a Cl
 ass II-III river. The second day of the clinic is typically spent on a Cla
 ss II-III river. Intermediate clinics work to strengthen fundamental skill
 s such as forward strokes\, sweeps\, draws\, prys\, eddy turns and peels o
 uts. In addition\, intermediate clinics often start the introduction of ad
 vanced and compound strokes and maneuvers such as bow draws into forward s
 trokes\, basic surfing\, use of rocks\, and other fun stuff. Intermediate 
 clinic students should have quite a bit of experience and be comfortable o
 n rivers like the Lower Haw below 2\,500 cfs\, the Nantahala\, or Pigeon G

  is for persons over 18 years of age\, or over 15 years with a parent atte
 nding the clinic (Above 13 years may also be considered on a case-by-case 
 basis). CCC is a Paddle America Club insured by the ACA (American Canoe As
 sociation). Registration is non-refundable.\n\nRequirements:\n\nWhitewater
  boat and gear (minimum boat\, paddle\, pfd\, skirt\, and helmet)\nComplet
 ion of ACA &amp\; CCC waivers (follow-up by Educ. Chair after initial regi
 stration)\nCompletion of questionnaire (follow-up by Educ. Chair after ini
 tial registration)\nInstructors: Wayne Jones\, Anna Ploghoft. Class size u
 p to 10 with an ACA certified instructor and Qualified Assistant. Minimum
