 h Broad\, Pigeon\, Lower Nolichucky\, Toe River\n\nIntermediate clinics ar
 e targeted at those who have experience and are comfortable on whitewater\
 , know eddy turns and peel outs and are proficient on class 2-3 rivers. Ka
 yakers and C1 paddlers at this level have a reliable whitewater roll and c
 an help rescue others on class 2-3 rivers. The format of intermediate clin
 ics varies a bit. On the first day\, some classes may spend time on flatwa
 ter reinforcing skills\, while other classes may head straight to a Class 
 II-III river. The second day of the clinic is typically spent on a Class I
 I-III river. Intermediate clinics work to strengthen fundamental skills su
 ch as forward strokes\, sweeps\, draws\, prys\, eddy turns and peels outs.
  In addition\, intermediate clinics often start the introduction of advanc
 ed and compound strokes and maneuvers such as bow draws into forward strok
 es\, basic surfing\, use of rocks\, and other fun stuff. Intermediate clin
 ic students should have quite a bit of experience and be comfortable on ri
 vers like the Lower Haw below 2\,500 cfs\, the Nantahala\, or Pigeon Gorge

 for persons over 18 years of age\, or over 15 years with a parent attendin
 g the clinic (Above 13 years may also be considered on a case-by-case basi
 s). CCC is a Paddle America Club insured by the ACA (American Canoe Associ
 ation). Registration is non-refundable.\n\nRequirements:\n\nWhitewater boa
 t and gear (minimum boat\, paddle\, pfd\, skirt\, and helmet)\nCompletion 
 of ACA &amp\; CCC waivers (follow-up by Educ. Chair after initial registra
