DESCRIPTION:This clinic is designed for paddlers who are confident on Class
  II rivers and are ready to begin stepping into Class III whitewater in a 
 structured\, supportive environment.\n\nLocation: French Broad\, Section I
 X\n\nClass Size: 10 Students\n\nYou may be ready for an Intermediate I cli
 nic if you:\n\n 	Can navigate downstream in Class II with confidence\n 	Ca
 n perform eddy turns and peel outs in forgiving conditions\n 	Have a comba
 t roll that works some of the time\n 	Can paddle Class I–II rapids with 
 little to no outside direction\n\nWhat You’ll Work On\n\nIntermediate I 
 clinics focus on strengthening fundamental skills so they begin to work re
 liably in Class III whitewater.\n\nInstruction commonly includes:\n\n 	Str
 oke efficiency and boat control\n 	Edge control and balance\n 	Improving e
 ddy turns\, peel outs\, and ferries with better timing and angles\n 	Stabi
 lity and balance in wave trains\n 	Reading water and anticipating current\
 n\nWhat to Expect\n\nClinic formats vary based on the river and the group.
  Some clinics may begin on flatwater or slower current to reinforce stroke
  mechanics\, while others move directly to the river.\n\nMost on-river tim
 e is spent on Class II–III sections\, with an emphasis on repetition\, f
 eedback\, and skill development.\n\nTypical Rivers\n\nIntermediate I clini
 cs are often held on rivers such as:\n\n 	Lower Haw River (below ~2\,500 C
 FS)\n 	Nantahala River\n 	Other similar Class II–III runs\n\nParticipant
 s Leave Better Prepared to:\n\n 	Paddle Class II–III rivers with greater
  consistency and control\n 	Use eddy turns\, peel outs\, and ferries more 
 intentionally and precisely in current\n 	Maintain awareness of the river 
 and group while moving downstream\n 	Recover from mistakes calmly and cont
 inue paddling\n
