DESCRIPTION:\n\nCCC-CKC Co-Paddle on the Uwharrie River has been changed to
  the Deep River. Sorry\, the Uwharrie\, while beautiful\, doesn't have qui
 te enough water to be a good experience.\n\nWe're changing to the Deep Riv

 er\, cross Carbonton Road and proceed down a path beside the guard rail. T
 his is the upstream right side of the bridge. Near the river\, the slope i
 s fairly steep. Use a rope to lower your boat\, being careful no one is be
 low it.  Rope could also be useful in helping people carefully descend to
  the river. At least it's not muddy.\n\nTakeout location\, Carbonton Acces

 ing area for several cars available at the launch location. This is a inte
 rsection of Carbonton Road (Moore 1621) and Harrington Raod.  Park on th
 e side of Harrington if necessary.  \n\nWe’ll move as many cars as poss
 ible to the Take Out location at Carbonton Access (see link.) The take-out
  has ample parking. \n\nWe run the shuttle from the Deep River Carbonton 
 Road access (see launch location below)  at 10am (please have your boat d
 own to the water at 10am. \n\nThis section of the Deep\, at this level\, 
 has only small riffles\, possible a Class I rapid or two. Most people will
  be using plastic whitewater boats.  Other durable boats could work but t
 here will be some rock scraping involved in a few places.\n\n 	Please  br
 ing a rope to lower your boat at the launch. \n 	Bring a helmet if you ha
 ve one.  Sun hat if not. \n 	Everyone must wear PFD’s.\n 	Bring water 
 (80+ degrees)\, sun protection and a snack. \n\nThis is a trip open to fi
 ve paddlers from each club.\n\nTrip length is 6.5 miles.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nb
