We depend on you, our members, for newsletter content and photos.

Guidelines for article and story submissions

MS Word or similar format, or as text in the body of an e-mail. Make sure to state that the article is intended for publication in The Paddler.

Photo and art submissions

Please include the following for each photo:

  • 1. Names of the photographer and everyone in the picture
  • 2. Places and/or events where the pictures were taken
  • 3. Other caption information that will help tell the story – think who, what, where and when
  • 4. If photos accompany an article, please include the title or article name
  • 5. Most image formats are acceptable, jpg preferred

You may also mail hand-written or typed articles and photos. Please contact the editor for details.

Please note we may not be able to use low-quality or small images. The staff reserves the right to edit articles and captions, to postpone content publication and to decline submitted content. While we’ll try to get your work in there, the staff must consider newsletter length, content and deadlines.

If you don’t get a response stating that the article or images have been received, please try the editor again and send a message to staff@carolinacanoeclub.org asking for the editor to get in touch with you.
