Have you been wanting to paddle at the whitewater center but haven’t quite felt confident going? Never heard of the whitewater center and are curious? Go all the time and absolutely love it already? PERFECT! This trip is for you! Come take a Friday off work and enjoy a beautiful day with us on endless rapids.

For those unfamiliar with the center, it should be known that it isn’t to be taken lightly!! Pushy water, swirly eddies and barreling rafts are just a few hazards but oh boy.. is the reward great. Rapids of all levels from class 2 to class 4 ending in a convenient conveyer belt that brings you right back up to the top to enjoy it again. In many people’s opinion, one of the best places to sharpen up your paddling skills.

Our trip will look like many things depending on your comfort level. We will all meet under the ramada at “The Trail Center” on the south side of the campus at 11:30am to check in and organize. From there those comfortable can have at it!! Those who would like a little guidance can stay behind with myself (Kagen Lamont) and the concrete ditch vet Joe Berry! We will be taking a slow pace and being attentive to helping everyone feel comfortable.

This will be a great trip to sharpen those skills!! Time to focus on eddy catching and hopping. Have you found all the eddies on the wilderness channel?? What about the comp channel? Let’s explore and improve while enjoying great company. ALSO this being my first CCC coordinated trip, would be awesome for those with experience to come out and help! Would love to see some familiar CCC faces, ya’ll know who you are!

What you need
-A combat roll (you won’t have much fun without one, and either will we)
-Money to get in! ($35 whitewater pass & $6 parking)
-All necessary paddling gear, they won’t let you paddle without it!
