Event Type

Farrington Point Roll Session and Cookout

Traditionally held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from May to September. The idea is to schedule one Roll Session/Cookout each month that folks can plan for. Bring your boats, gear, grills, food to share, and smiles. Do you have a special river dish that your friends are missing? Bring it! Make that famous pasta salad or just buy a couple of packs of hot dogs and buns to share. This is a great opportunity to connect and reconnect with fellow boaters. Socials are so good for so many reasons!

You are the ones who make these events happen. I am still looking for an organizer for August 17th and September 21st. All you have to do is remind folks when the Event is taking place, make sure your friends are bringing a grill or two and buy a few extra packs of hot dogs and buns. It was so easy that I was even able to do one. Promote however you see fit!

June 22 will be hosted by Elizabeth Gardner

July 20 will be hosted by Alan Dial

August 17

September 21

Please continue to post pop-up roll sessions and cookouts on other dates. You can never have too many cookouts or roll sessions!

All participants in any Carolina Canoe Club (CCC) trip do so as common adventurers. The CCC or its individual members may coordinate paddling trips but no one is considered leader of a trip. As common adventurers, all participants take the responsibility for making their own decisions including, but not limited to, whether it is safe for them to participate on any particular water body, what equipment they need and use, the routes they may choose to paddle, whether their skill levels and abilities are adequate for the activity or whether climate and water conditions are appropriate for their participation. Participants are exclusively responsible for their own safety.

Individual coordinators for all CCC activities set requirements per their sole discretion. The CCC does not necessarily endorse or approve requirements set by coordinators.
