Event Type

5/31/16 Update: My outpost has informed me all video boaters are need this weekend. This means meeting me early to paddle Thursday, Friday, or Monday may work best; plan to meet at Middle Put-In  to drop gear at 10 AM and set shuttle for best results. Afternoon runs will occur Thursday, Friday, and Monday but it is hard to say exactly when. Evening trips are possible Saturday and Sunday.
Orginal post follows:
Expect raft traffic to be getting really busy on river with plenty of new guides taking guests down the river and providing entertainment as they pin, crash, and generally toss guests into the river.
Camping at OAR ($5/night)  629 Welcome Valley Rd, Benton, TN 37307. Plenty of local options for meals or grill your own. Firewood delivered to site by White Truck Mafia aka Big Sam and the Quest Guides.
Plan to meet 9:00 AM at the Middle Ocoee Put-in aka Rogers Branch on Saturday and Sunday for first lap. Running a second lap is likely to occur later but difficult to say when. Bring snacks to eat between laps on shuttle. Plan to meet at 10:00 AM Thursday, Friday, and Monday.

All participants in any Carolina Canoe Club (CCC) trip do so as common adventurers. The CCC or its individual members may coordinate paddling trips but no one is considered leader of a trip. As common adventurers, all participants take the responsibility for making their own decisions including, but not limited to, whether it is safe for them to participate on any particular water body, what equipment they need and use, the routes they may choose to paddle, whether their skill levels and abilities are adequate for the activity or whether climate and water conditions are appropriate for their participation. Participants are exclusively responsible for their own safety.

Individual coordinators for all CCC activities set requirements per their sole discretion. The CCC does not necessarily endorse or approve requirements set by coordinators.
