Paddlers for Cleaner Rivers

A Carolina Canoe Club / BoatUS Foundation Project

Each year, the BoatU.S. Foundation awards local nonprofit volunteer organizations up to $4,000 for the promotion of clean boating education. The BoatU.S. Foundation looks for projects that reflect a unique way to reach boaters with upbeat clean boating messages.

The Carolina Canoe Club was awarded $2,500 in 2007 to promote river cleanup and litter awareness. The Club used the funds to purchase mesh trash bags, brochures, and stickers. Club members will continue to support the grant mission through their cleanup efforts and use of the material provided and this website to promote clean boating.
